Compliance Blog tackles CCPA requirements for CUs [ [link removed] ]
NAFCU Senior Regulatory Compliance Counsel Elizabeth LaBerge details the requirements and proposed regulations of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in a new post on the Compliance Blog. The CCPA, which was enacted in 2018, is set to take effect Jan. 1, 2020.


FFIEC updates Business Continuity Management booklet [ [link removed] ]
The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) – which is comprised of five banking regulators, including the NCUA and CFPB, and state regulator representatives – Wednesday released an updated Business Continuity Management booklet focused on business-wide approaches to ensure operations are not disrupted or can easily recover after a disaster.






CFPB outlines plan for small biz data collection rule [ [link removed] ]
The CFPB is seeking summary judgment in a lawsuit brought against it for allegedly violating the Administrative Procedures Act (APA). The California Reinvestment Coalition, National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders, and two individual small business owners claim the bureau has violated the law by not issuing regulations to implement Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which is related to small business lending data collection.
