I can, and it’s built beautifully with community care. 🧡 We all have what it takes in our communities to be able to heal, nurture, and support each other. And by living our lives with this knowledge, we can move towards systems of holistic care and away from systems of harm and punishment.
BLM Houston and UWD are partnering up to bring Move Into the Future: a pop-up art experience to Emancipation Park in Houston. As someone who is proud to call Houston home, I couldn’t be more excited to share the experience of this revolutionary art piece created by local Black, brown, and immigrant artists with you. So this Saturday Feb. 26th @ 2pm CT to kick off the exhibit, I’ll be at our Community Launch Party! Can you RSVP to watch live online with us?

On the livestream we’ll get to see the sculpture, hear from the artists, and feel the abundance of joy brought by our communities. Our Community Launch Party is a day for Black and Brown youth to indulge in art, writing, and healing. Folks will have space to reflect, heal, and envision what the future will look like when we lead with abundance and communal care.
