John,

We'll be honest. We always knew we had a tough fight ahead of this year, but even we were surprised by the latest polling in our race.

The numbers are clear: The entire GOP field is rapidly gaining on Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan; against several GOP opponents, we're already statistically tied.

It's no exaggeration to say that we're going to need to build one of the most powerful campaigns in state history to keep Minnesota blue in November. There's no doubt that this team is up to the challenge, but we can't execute our plans if we don't have the resources.

That's why we track our grassroots fundraising so closely, John. One missed goal could derail big pieces of our plans for the Fall. And with three days to go to our most critical deadline of the year so far, we're still more than $28,000 short of our target.

We're sending our next update to the Governor and Lt. Governor at 6:30 pm, and we're hoping we can put a dent in this shortfall by then to give them better news. Will you donate $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you right now to show that you have their back?

Thank you so much for coming through for us here, John.

–Team Walz
