There’s a slew of reasons people run for office these days. For a lot of Washington politicians, it’s the idea of hobnobbing with the wealthy and powerful or getting fat checks from corporate special interests in exchange for favors.
This campaign is not about that -- which is why Cal is refusing to accept a single check from any corporate PACs. He doesn’t need them. He doesn’t want them.
We’re going to win this race one small-dollar contribution at a time from supporters like you. John, you haven’t let us down yet, so we’re turning to you again:
Cal is running for U.S. Senate in North Carolina because he believes there is something fundamentally corrupt about our current leadership in Washington. We need independent elected leaders, not ones beholden to the corporate interests infecting our democracy.
There’s no question why Cal threw his hat in the ring. He believes the people of North Carolina deserve a leader they can finally put their trust in. Someone who will work for their best interests, not corporate interests.
