Here's the bottom line, John: the Roberts Supreme Court has proven itself to be hostile to voting rights. Their recent action with respect to gerrymandering in Alabama is just one more example.

Help us fight gerrymandering no matter what SCOTUS does [[link removed]]

A few weeks ago, a federal court in Alabama struck down a congressional map that dilutes the voting power of Black Alabamians and ordered it to be redrawn. But soon after, the Supreme Court’s decision resulted in a hold on that redraw, allowing the 2022 elections to proceed under that gerrymandered map . And their reasoning was downright bizarre.

The Atlantic: "The Supreme Court Seems to Think Discrimination Is When You Try to Remedy Discrimination" and "The conservative justices are scrapping Americans’ constitutional rights, all while pretending they aren’t."

This isn't the first time the Roberts Court has failed to protect Americans' right to vote and have their vote counted equally, and while it’s disappointing, our fight for fair redistricting will continue.

Because our strategy has never relied on a single court. We’re going state by state to end gerrymandering, and we’re winning. So with your help, that’s exactly what we’ll keep doing.

Are you with us, John?
