A new study just revealed firearm deaths to be the leading cause of trauma-related deaths in the country, overtaking car crashes.
Researchers said: The demand for total freedom and the second amendment have resulted in high access to firearms in this country and it is indisputable that firearm ownership, mass shootings, injuries and death are more of a problem in the USA than other developed countries.
The pernicious pieces of this epidemic – Mass shootings, firearm suicide, community violence, domestic abuse, accidental death by firearm… create an overwhelming, deadly assault on our country. And right now, it is more important than ever for us to fight back.
For the first time in decades, the Supreme Court is considering whether to lift restrictions on concealed carry permits — exactly the deadly move this study warns against. And the impact of the Court's decision could be massive.
