Next week, February 28 and March 1, FAMM is bringing dozens of formerly incarcerated people and family members to Washington, D.C., to push for overdue sentencing and prison reform. We think it's important for lawmakers to hear from people who are personally harmed by broken policies.

While we will be hosting meetings with senators and representatives in Washington, you can join our lobbying efforts from home by taking action! Contact your senators and Delegate Eleanor Norton in support of the First Step Implementation Act: [link removed] [[link removed]]

Also, please join us Thursday, March 3, when FAMM, the NBA Social Justice Coalition, and the National Civil Rights Museum will host a live discussion about the need to pass the EQUAL Act, bipartisan legislation to eliminate the federal crack-powder disparity. We will be joined by one of the bill’s sponsors in the U.S. House, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), and a representative of the National District Attorneys Association.
