I met with Afghan refugees this week.

They saw their lives destroyed in a matter of days thanks to Joe Biden: girls prohibited from attending school, families separated and homes destroyed.

Now, with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, another country is facing a similar fate.

Joe Biden’s weakness has helped bring the world to this point. There is no doubt that weakness leads to war. Abandoning the policy of peace through strength has empowered our enemies and abandoned our allies. It was not in the national or global best interest.

I’ve lived war. I lose two legs and a finger in Afghanistan when a Taliban-planted bomb blew up beneath me. There is no redeeming value in it.

Vladimir Putin is responsible for these horrendous crimes, full stop. The people being bombed in Ukraine right now have also been failed by the world’s leaders, though.

We must return to the peace through strength diplomacy practiced by President Trump. Every day I wake up and look down where my feet should have been, I am reminded of the consequences of failing to do so.
