Dear John,
50 and counting. That’s how many anti-abortion bills were introduced in state legislatures last month ALONE. If Roe falls this June, 26 states will ban abortion immediately.
There’s no doubt that we’re at a crucial time for abortion access, from states to the Supreme Court targeting abortion. That’s why Congress must act right now to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), a landmark bill that will expand abortion access across the country.
Passing WHPA is a critical step toward creating a world where every person is free to make the best health care decisions for themselves, their families, and their lives. We know that in order to thrive, young people need the full spectrum of reproductive health care - from sex education, to contraception, to health care services, to prenatal care and supported parenting, to abortion access. Health care is a right, and we can’t let these attacks continue.
At a time where Roe v. Wade is the floor — not the ceiling — we must ensure everyone has abortion within reach, regardless of zip code. Let your Senators know you won't let abortion access be stolen away by extremists by demanding they take action here.
It’s time to let the Senate know that abortion IS healthcare and abortion IS essential — and every day without congressional action means that more and more people are being denied their right to abortion. Tell your senator to vote YES here.
