John --
In a few moments, I am going to ask you to make a donation to my Senate campaign in North Carolina. We have a really important fundraising deadline tomorrow, and I want to explain why this is such a big moment for our growing campaign.
As you may already know, the polls have repeatedly shown us defeating Thom Tillis in a general election and flipping this seat. Several major election forecasters have rated our race a “toss-up” because they know we have a unique opportunity here -- especially since Tillis has the lowest approval rating of any U.S. Senator.
North Carolina is ripe for the taking. The people of our great state are sick and tired of the corrupt special interests roaming the halls of power in Washington and influencing our government. They’ve had enough of elected leaders who vote in the best interests of the corporate PACs cutting their campaign checks, not in the best interests of folks like you.
That’s why I’m refusing to accept any help from corporate PACs in our campaign. It may not be the easiest way to do things, but it’s the right way -- because I never want any of you to doubt who I’m working for in the U.S. Senate. The answer will always be you.
We have the momentum right now, and we cannot afford to take our foot off the gas if we’re going to win this thing. It’s critical we have the resources to match Tillis’ war chest — and the army of right-wing dark money groups and super PACs that are going to attack me in the coming year.
So, I’m asking: Can I rely on you to make a contribution of any amount to our growing campaign as a way of showing Trump, Tillis, and their right-wing allies that we’re ready to win this election? Add a donation before our mid-month deadline tomorrow to make the most meaningful impact.

It's clearer than ever: North Carolinians are ready for change. Let’s work as hard as it takes to give it to them.
Thank you.
