"Hey Good Lookin"-a song by country crooner Hank Williams-is a great way to describe his namesake turkey. But he wasn't always this way; he was found standing out in the rain, filthy, cold, and alone. Hank is a Broad Breasted Bronze-a domestic breed raised for meat. He may have escaped slaughter, or been dumped by a negligent "owner." With a noticeable leg tremor and broken, feces-matted feathers, this beautiful bird was once "So Lonesome, [He] Could Cry." Now, he's a beloved member of the Farm Sanctuary family, and he spends his days "Honky Tonkin'" around the farm with his rooster pals.
