Recently, Sherrod introduced a bipartisan measure that would provide critical resources to survivors of domestic violence.
The bill would finally reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act, which we originally passed nearly 30 years ago but has hung in the balance for the past three years.
Sherrod is working across the aisle to get this urgently needed legislation over the finish line, but he needs your help to keep up grassroots momentum. Will you sign on your support for taking action against domestic violence?
This bill would provide a crucial lifeline in moments of crisis:
- Helps survivors escape violent relationships
- Provides access to legal representation and economic assistance
- Strengthens resources for survivors with disabilities, LGBTQ survivors, and other marginalized communities
- Includes Sherrod’s measure to strengthen housing services for survivors of trafficking
We have an opportunity to support domestic abuse survivors, bring perpetrators to justice, and save lives, and we need everyone speaking up. Add your name and show your support for taking action against domestic violence.
Thank you,
Team Sherrod
