A few months ago, we shared with you a deep dive into the GOP’s misinformation strategy to target Latinos. And we have a concerning update: it’s only getting worse.

Many of you may know that our community is a wonderfully diverse one, and Latinos make up about 30% of it. It’s a top priority for Josh to empower the Latino community, and it’s one of the many reasons I’m proud to be on this team. We’ve had a Latino Constituency Director on the ground for months now – something we wouldn’t have been able to do without your support!

But instead of seeing our diversity as something to celebrate, the GOP has decided to exploit it. They’ve launched a coordinated, well-funded effort to spread Spanish-language misinformation and conspiracy theories, and it’s everywhere: from social media to messaging apps and even AM radio shows. And it’s clearly not going away.

John, these efforts have real consequences. Multiple studies have shown that misinformation directly affects the way Spanish speakers vote.

These kinds of organized lies don’t just mislead the community – they literally threaten to undermine our democracy. That’s unacceptable. So, while the GOP is doubling down on these efforts, we’re committed to fighting back with our Latino organizing program, both on and offline. But, we need your help to keep this one-of-a-kind program funded – will you chip in $5, $15, or whatever you are able to right now in order to ensure Josh can keep doing the work of listening to and supporting our Latino community?
