John —

By now, most of you know that I got into this race to take back our communities, unseat a do-nothing incumbent, and deliver real progressive change for everyone who’s been left behind.

But that’s not all there is to it.

Being a progressive in New Jersey comes with a very specific set of challenges created and upheld by politicians like Josh Gottheimer and Donald Payne Jr. to discourage progressives from even attempting to demand better for our communities.

And one of those challenges is the ballot line.

For those who’re unfamiliar with New Jersey’s ballot line, this is what it looks like:

For years, the New Jersey political machine has literally shunted progressives off to the side of the ballot, deliberately misleading voters with one of the most corrupt ballot designs in the country.

And the only way we can stop it is by spreading the word and taking a stand. Can you chip in $27 to help us do it? [[link removed]]

I’m in this race to give the voters of NJ-10 a voice after years of being silenced by a corrupt political machine. And whether that means supporting Medicare for All and a Green New Deal or fighting back against corrupt ballot design, I’m all in.

Now is the time to make our voices heard — to overcome every obstacle the machine has put in our path and win a victory for our communities. If you’re with me, click here to chip in $27, or anything you can, to support our progressive movement. [[link removed]]

Thank you for being on my team.

— Imani
