When Senator Wyden took office in 1996, he made a promise to host a conversation each year in each one of Oregon’s 36 counties. This momentous milestone proves that Senator Wyden has kept that promise. His regular conversations with voters across the state give him deep insight into the challenges facing our state and how he can best advocate for Oregonians in Washington, D.C.

From all of us at the Democratic Party of Oregon, we congratulate Senator Wyden on this immense accomplishment and are grateful for his years of service to Oregonians.

I also want to give a shout out to the thousands of Oregonians who have attended these town halls, or tuned in during the pandemic when they have been held online, to have their voices heard and to ensure their communities are represented at the national level. Without them, and all of you, this grand experiment in a democratic form of government would not have prevailed.
