Corporate Democrats are blaming “Squad politics” for the Democratic
Party’s lower midterm poll numbers. But if the establishment followed
Squad politics, the Democratic Party would actually be delivering for the
people.

Squad politics are passing Build Back Better and fighting for Medicare for
All, a Green New Deal, racial justice, codifying Roe v. Wade, canceling
student debt, raising the minimum wage to at least $15, reducing child
poverty, and so much more. Squad politics are doing what’s right for the
people.

That’s why AOC, Ilhan, Rashida, Cori, Jamaal, and Ayanna were some of the
only House Democrats to vote to protect President Biden’s agenda to fight
climate change, extend the Child Tax Credit, lower health care costs, and
secure paid family and medical leave. Now, because of the Democratic
Party’s inability to deliver, child poverty rose 41% after the Child Tax
Credit wasn’t renewed.

Corporate Democrats are always blaming progressives for their own
failures. Justice Democrats is one of the few groups investing in electing
progressive fighters and defeating establishment politicians looking for
scapegoats rather than economic, social, racial, and environmental
justice.

When Democrats lose, they blame progressives in their quest for power with
no questions asked. They did it when the House majority shrunk after the
2020 election and when centrists lost the Virginia governor’s race last
year. And they’re doing it again as Democrats see their polling numbers
slip ahead of the midterm elections in November.

When Democrats fail to deliver, they want to find excuses to blame the
Squad. If corporate Democrats listened less to their corporate donors, and
fought for the people, they’d be creating jobs, protecting the planet, and
improving life for nearly every person in this country.

The smears from the Democratic establishment AND the extreme right-wing
GOP will continue, because representatives like AOC, Cori Bush, and Ilhan
Omar threaten the power of both parties.
