Late last year, we added a list of candidates to our “Watch List” ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. Today as we come closer to the critical midterm election, we’re excited to announce our full endorsement of three Democrats for Congress: Eddie Rodriguez (TX-35), Quaye Quartey (CA-27), and Christina Bohannan (IA-01).

Eddie Rodriguez has been serving as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives since 2003. As a former Travis County Democratic Party executive director who has spent the last 19 years in the state House, Eddie led the charge to fight back against unprecedented attacks on the right to vote in Texas.Quaye Quartey , son of a Ghanian immigrant, is a life-long dedicated public servant. He was commissioned as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy serving in combat and supporting counterterrorism and cyber-warfare around the globe. He honorably retired following two decades of active-duty military service and returned home with a mission to help other small businesses grow that serve working families in their communities. However, after the events of January 6th, 2021, Quaye felt compelled to serve his country and his community at home. He looks to challenge Republican Congressman Mike Garcia for California’s 27th District.

Christina Bohannan , a mother and law professor, has been serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives since 2020 after beating a 20-year incumbent of the district. During her time in the statehouse, Christina worked to protect working families, push for more investments in public schools, and help Iowa families and small businesses recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. Now she is running for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, a seat held by Republican Congresswoman Miller-Meeks who won narrowly in 2020.
