Hi team, Future Forum here with an update on some of our members on the DCCC’s 2022 Frontline Program List. Today, we’re giving updates on a couple of west coasters: Rep. Josh Harder (CA-10) and Rep. Katie Porter (CA-45), and their ongoing efforts in tackling the effects of climate disasters and holding polluters accountable. Rep. Josh Harder recently announced $35 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will go towards projects that reduce flood risk in his district, an investment that will protect more than $28.7 billion in property and keep families safe. Rep. Harder is the climate champion we need to keep in the House! But he is now competing in a crowded race in a newly drawn congressional district – and needs your help so that he can keep delivering on climate change. Tackling the climate crisis is not just about investing in our infrastructure, it’s also about holding polluters accountable. And so, Rep. Katie Porter continues to hold energy companies accountable by asking for details from six public relations firms on their work with energy companies. She is investigating whether they aided the companies in campaigns to obscure the link between fossil fuels and climate change. Rep. Porter is also facing a tough race and needs your support to hold her seat and continue holding people accountable for their role in climate change.
Thank you for your continued support, Future Forum HQ
