Ukrainian Foreign Minister: No Link Between U.S. Aid and Investigations

Big news ([link removed]) broke Thursday morning, and Republicans are doing a happy dance...
Ukrainian foreign minister Vadym Prystaiko said U.S. Ambassador to the E.U. Gordon Sondland had “never” made a link between U.S. aid to Ukraine and any type of investigations (neither on the Biden’s role with Burisma or the 2016 elections.)
This completely contradicts the hearsay testimony presented on Wednesday by the two “star witnesses” for the Democrats.
The only “bombshell” the Democrats could produce on day one was Bill Taylor’s fourth-hand hearsay story about one of his staff members being at a restaurant with Sonderland, who overheard Sonderland speaking to the President on his cell phone. The staffer says they were talking about “investigations.”
Breitbart News journalist Kristina Wong noted ([link removed]) this “new evidence” was not only hearsay, but it also didn’t add anything new to the table. It only tries to support the accusations made on the original phone call of July 25th.
As Reuters reported ([link removed]):Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said on Thursday that U.S. ambassador Gordon Sondland did not explicitly link military aid to Kiev with opening an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Interfax Ukraine reported.

“Ambassador Sondland did not tell us, and certainly did not tell me, about a connection between the assistance and the investigations. You should ask him,” Prystaiko said about Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union.

“I have never seen a direct relationship between investigations and security assistance,” Prystaiko was quoted as saying by Interfax. “Yes, the investigations were mentioned, you know, in the conversation of the presidents. But there was no clear connection between these events.”

Sonderland testified last month inside Schiff’s basement dungeon that he spoke frequently with Prystaiko and other Ukrainian officials during the time period in question.
Sonderland is scheduled to testify in the public hearings next week. Today’s news makes his testimony “must-see tv.”
