As a leader on the House Appropriations Committee, I worked to fund the Economic Development Association, which is awarding $420,000 to the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission and River Valley Regional Commission.

This money will help create jobs and encourage private investment, especially in small and underserved communities.

I also just announced $1.25 million in grants for Southwest Georgia farms from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
