Dear John,

Do you like funding the CBC?

Last year, the government gave the CBC about $1.4 billion from taxpayers like you.

But CBC isn't the only media outlet cashing government cheques. The Trudeau government is giving the media a $600-million bailout. That’s bad for taxpayers, but you know that’s also bad for the media’s credibility when it should be holding governments accountable.

You should be able to choose which media organization you want to support. You shouldn’t be forced to fund media organizations through the government.

You can stand with thousands of other Canadian taxpayers by signing the online PETITION calling on the federal government to defund the CBC and end its media bailout. Just click this link: [link removed] ([link removed])

After signing the petition, can you forward this email to your friends and family so more Canadians can push the government to stop giving the media more tax dollars?

Thanks for fighting for taxpayers – it’s making a difference!

Sincerely,
* Franco, Shannon, Todd and the rest of the CTF team

PS: Unlike the CBC and other media organizations, we don’t run to government for more money. You can keep big-spending politicians accountable by making a donation through this secure online link: [link removed] ([link removed])
