Hi John,
I'm reaching out to make sure you know that
See Yourself Running: Realities of Running as a Black candidate is happening TONIGHT.
Make sure you sign up so you can join the Zoom at 8:00 p.m. ET.
I've worked closely with many of Run for Something's superb alums and current candidates, and this network is truly made up of diverse young progressives who are dedicated to their communities all across this country.
I'm hosting tonight's event because I want to support you in joining our ranks.
If you're a Black young progressive, tonight's event is a surefire way to learn all about the campaign trail, whether you're set on running for office or not.
You'll get to hear from Black Run for Something alums who've been through it and are excited to share their experiences -- featuring Councilor JB Smiley Jr., former Boston City Council candidate David Halbert, and Commissioner Alicia D. Smith.
John, what do Run for Something alums and candidates all have in common? A deep care for their communities. Whether or not you're convinced to run yet, this could be YOU.
Tonight is for you if you want to know more about what running for office as a Black candidate looks like and how Run for Something can support you. Come hear from the Black leaders who've been through it and get all your questions answered.
RSVP and get the Zoom link -- because it's just hours away. Join us tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET at See Yourself Running: Realities of Running as a Black candidate.
Hope to see you there,
Kandice Harris
Midwestern Regional Director
