The Republican National Committee voted to censure two of its own House Republicans for their role in investigating the violent January 6th insurrection and holding Donald Trump accountable for his role in inciting the Capitol attack.
In the resolution, the RNC called the January 6th insurrection “legitimate political discourse.”
We want to be very clear on this: What happened on January 6th was not legitimate political discourse. It was an angry mob intent on preventing Congress from carrying out the will of the people and certifying our election.
Mikie was one of the first Members of Congress to speak out against the January 6th attack and to demand we get to the bottom of it so it never happens again.
Meanwhile, not one of Mikie’s six potential opponents has spoken out against the RNC resolution, despite the fact that other Republicans in New Jersey have said it was wrong.
This is what the National GOP is choosing to do with its time. Mikie is using her time to protect the integrity of our elections and our democracy, fix the SALT deduction cap for New Jersey families to cut taxes, and advance the Gateway Tunnel project.
We can’t afford for Washington Republicans to flip NJ-11 or the House majority this November. That’s where you can help -- will you chip in to strengthen Mikie’s re-election campaign?
