Friend,

Yesterday, we announced our first Summit keynote speaker: Kris Brown,
President of Brady.

TODAY, I'm thrilled to tell you that our SECOND Summit keynote speaker
will be none other than ...

Native Nevadan John L. Smith has worked as a journalist in the state for
four decades. In that time he’s written thousands of columns and articles
for newspapers and magazines, has authored more than a dozen books, won
numerous awards in state, regional, and national writing contests, and was
inducted into the Nevada Press Hall of Fame in 2016. Smith currently
freelances for The Nevada Independent, the Daily Beast, CDC Gaming
Reports, KNPR, and many other publications.

In 2021, he published Saints, Sinners and Sovereign Citizens: The Endless
War over the West’s Public Lands, and added two new additions to his
children’s Nevada history series called "Fields of Silver and Gold", Anne
Martin: The March for Suffrage, and Ben Palmer: Black Pioneers on the
Frontier. He is currently working with former US Sen. and Nevada Gov.
Richard Bryan on an autobiography.
