John,
Republicans have long known that suppressing the vote is the only way they

This is why throughout 2021, I worked with members of the Texas
legislative delegation as they fought against Greg Abbott’s efforts to
pass voter suppression laws.
Now, as the New York Times reports that “Thousands of Texans have had
their absentee ballot applications denied as a result of regulations put
in place under the state’s new election law,” we need to work even harder
to get voters to the polls to win these pivotal elections.
DFA members have already contacted over 70,000 voters across Texas and we
need to make sure that all of them vote before the March 1st primary.

If we mobilize people of color, young and infrequent voters, and everyone
who shares our progressive values, we will elect progressives in Texas and
across the nation.
While the fight to protect our voting rights isn’t going to be easy, we
can beat them and protect our democracy.
