In Wisconsin, election deniers want to jail public officials who stand in the way of their disinformation about the 2020 election.
Almost sixteen months after the election, partisans in the Wisconsin Legislature have empowered a former state supreme court justice to lead a wide-ranging probe into the 2020 presidential contest even though a legislative audit found no meaningful irregularities in the state.
Now, the head of the Wisconsin probe is seeking to jail anyone that declines to meet with him behind closed doors. He wants to put them behind bars because they insist that their conversations be public and transparent.
My job is to make sure that Minnesota’s elections remain fair and non-partisan but I need your help. We’re fighting back against disinformation and we need to raise another $10,000 before the end of February to keep getting our message out there. Will you chip in $5 or more now?

Some people want to bring a process very much like the Wisconsin probe to Minnesota. They want a taxpayer-financed "forensic audit" of the 2020 election results statewide, with the power to compel testimony so that they can chase down obscure conspiracy theories. It's embarrassing, and it's unacceptable.
We can't let Minnesota become a Wisconsin-style embarrassment. I'm proud to stand by our fair, accurate, non-partisan election system - and the honest results it has produced.
