You've probably seen the news by now, but earlier today there was yet another school shooting, this time at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California.

So far we know two students were killed and several others are fighting for their lives.

And once again, we watched on television as children were rushed from the school, hands in the air and backpacks bobbing up and down as they raced to safety -- all while parents were heading toward the school, dreading the unimaginable.

Enough is enough.

How is it that we are the only major country on the face of the Earth that is forced to watch these images over and over and over again?

How is it that OUR elected leaders have done nothing to change that reality?

Trump and Mitch McConnell know how to end this epidemic. Other countries have found a way.

They just choose not to. And make no mistake, it is a choice. They weigh their gun lobby checks against the safety of our communities and choose the gun lobby over and over and over again.

They have decided that they are comfortable with an America where active shooter drills are routine, students run terrified from their classrooms, and entire communities go on lock down.

That American nightmare is unacceptable, so we must also make a decision:

If this Congress and this president refuse to take action to make our communities safer from gun violence, then we must elect a Congress and a president who will.

We know what measures will save lives--we just need to fight for leaders with the courage to enact them.
