John, Republicans’ campaign to rig elections in Georgia just got taken to a whole new level:

Brian Kemp is backing a bill that would completely ban his opponents from fundraising during the legislative session, while incumbents like him are 100% free to raise unlimited amounts for their leadership funds!

Incumbents should not be able to rig the rules to give themselves advantages! This is not how democracy is supposed to work.

Kemp and his Republican allies know that Georgians aren’t buying what they’re selling, so instead of answering to the voters in a fair contest, they’d rather rig the rules to benefit themselves in every way possible:

FIRST, they passed draconian new voting restrictions after they didn’t like the outcome of the 2020 election.

THEN, they rigged Georgia’s legislative district maps to entrench Republican power.

AND they’re trying to make it all but impossible for challengers to raise the funds needed to wage a competitive campaign.
