The GOP has one goal, and it is not to serve the best interests of their constituents. Republicans simply aim to remain in power no matter what the majority actually wants.

Their radical agenda of attacking civil rights, cutting taxes for the ultra-rich and powerful corporations at the expense of the middle class, and ignoring the existential threat to our environment is completely at odds with the values most of us share.

Meanwhile, gerrymandered legislative districts give Republicans excessive power in states like ours.

Republicans can’t win on the merits. But they can try to win by preventing some people from voting — and ensuring some votes count less than others.
