How can your organisation benefit?

Hello John,

In case you missed it, today we launched a brand new Climate Justice Charter ([link removed]) ! I'm delighted to share it with you now and let you know a little bit about how it can help you.

Ireland’s first Climate Justice Charter

This charter is an invitation for all organisations and institutions that believe upholding justice principles are an important element in the delivery of a just transition.

Join us by signing up to this charter and commit to working with and for young people to make the world in which we live a better, safer, and fairer place to be.

Our Future Generations Project developed the Climate Justice Charter ([link removed]) as a tool that supports youth organisations to contribute to the systemic change needed, through easy-to-follow principles and on-going support for signatories.

It's great, but don't take my word for it. See what some of the amazing organisations we worked with on it have to say:

‘The charter is beneficial for all organisations as it acts as a set of good practice guidelines that allows Sphere 17 to begin to truly imbed Climate Justice at all levels – from our board of directors to the young people we work with.’

Lee Cummins, Sphere 17.

‘The young people who developed the charter principles were adamant about including local to global connections. We welcomed this strongly, as it’s the most vulnerable communities that suffer the worst consequences.’

Michael Doorly, Concern Worldwide.

‘We love the Climate Justice Charter because the creation of it was entirely youth-led. It captures exactly what the young people wanted the charter to say and the capacity to convince others how the world should be.’

TJ Hourihan, YMCA Ireland.

‘We love that the charter is accessible for every organisation and every group of young people. From young farmers making a living to young people making change, there is something in there for everyone.’

Gillian Richardson, Macra na Feirme.

Psst... we know everyone is flat out right now. Which is why we've designed this to support your existing work - not create more work for you! Check out our great blog post 5 reasons why your organisation needs to sign the Climate Justice Charter ([link removed]) if you need a little more convincing.
