There are a million reasons why this campaign and our daughter are worth fighting for, but here are just a few:

Our daughter is worth fighting for because close to two-thirds of likely voters don't want to reelect Sen. Grassley (who was our senator even way back when that photo you see was taken!), and he's facing record-low approval ratings here in Iowa.

Our daughter is worth fighting for because, after 47 years in Washington, Sen. Grassley has left Iowa working class families like ours behind. Abby will be a true voice for working class families in Washington.

Our daughter is worth fighting for because we know that nobody – nobody – will work harder than Abby to defeat Sen. Grassley and expand our Democratic Senate majority in the process.

Our daughter is worth fighting for because she has always stood up for what's right and fought for what she believes in – and she's exactly the leader that Iowa needs right now.

But we've seen how this goes. Last time around, Iowa's Senate race was one of the most expensive in the country. To be able to compete with the GOP spending that will flood Iowa, Abby is counting on grassroots support.
