“Senate Democrat pushes U.S. Postal Service to buy cleaner delivery fleet”
February 4, 2022
After leadership at the Postal Service announced plans to buy a new fleet of largely gas-powered delivery trucks, I joined the Biden Administration to call on Postmaster Louis DeJoy and the USPS to reverse course and make a larger investment in electric mail trucks.
Transportation is the largest source of climate-warming carbon pollution. Electric postal trucks are better for our climate. They’re cleaner and more sustainable. They’re better for our economy. They’re most cost-effective.
John: An electric postal fleet is a no-brainer.
We must take bigger, bolder steps to transition to a clean-energy economy and protect our planet from climate change -- and that includes transitioning to a cleaner, electric postal delivery fleet.
I want to hear from you, John -- do you agree the Postal Service should transition to an environmentally friendly electric delivery fleet? [[link removed]]

Keep fighting,
Tom
