We’re partnering with The Civics Center to urge Philadelphia’s Board of Education to take action to promote voter registration in high schools – and here’s why:
Only 15.2% of 18-year-olds in Philadelphia are registered to vote. Unless the Board of Education acts now, most schools in Philadelphia will not take effective steps to encourage graduating seniors to register to vote before they graduate at the end of the school year.
The most critical step leading to strong youth turnout in 2022 is increased voter registration – and registering high school seniors before they graduate is the best way to do that.
