NAM, AAN Launch Nursing Fellowship
The American Academy of Nursing and National Academy of Medicine join forces to offer a new fellowship that will see nursing knowledge integrated from the start into national programs. AAN fellows will be able to maintain their position while serving on an NAM board&mdash;allowing early-career health science scholars to participate in public health studies that improve the care and access to care of patients.

Innovating in the Time of COVID: ANA Recognizes Winners
The American Nurses Association has announced the nurses who took top honors in its 2022 ANA Innovation Awards for projects that address gaps in health equity and education. These nurses&rsquo; creativity has led to community-based pop-up clinics in rural areas, and a simulation tool that makes it easier for nurses to learn skills in inserting peripheral and central venous catheters.

The Journal of Forensic Nursing offers authors the opportunity to highlight topics often underrepresented in literature. Papers for a forthcoming special issue&mdash;designed to show how health disparity can affect the science and practice of forensic nursing&mdash;can cover any aspect of the intersections of health and the legal systems, such as sexual assault, care of the incarcerated, human trafficking, and more. Harold Amos Diversity Program Funds Postdoctoral Research
Nurses, physicians, and dentists from historically marginalized backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program, offered by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The program offers four-year postdoctoral research awards, and scholars should be committed to working toward eliminating health disparities by achieving senior rank. Deadline: March 16.
