New York Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik just waded into the North Carolina Senate race and endorsed one of our extreme GOP opponents, Rep. Ted Budd.

Remember her?

She’s one of the most ardent defenders of Trump’s lies and corruption in Congress. She tried to blame Speaker Pelosi for the January 6 insurrection and said "Nancy Pelosi bears responsibility, as speaker of the House, for the tragedy." She has not only tried to protect Steve Bannon, but she went on his podcast to promote conspiracy theories about election fraud.

And guess what? Ted Budd said he was “honored” to have her endorsement.

Budd has made clear he will put Donald Trump and conspiracy theories before North Carolinians — and now the far-right is rewarding his loyalty and spending millions of dollars to prop up his campaign.
