If you want to understand why grassroots conservatives are jumping ship from Ken Paxton and backing our campaign, here is all the proof you need from a new story that just broke:
"Whistleblowers say Ken Paxton is misleading Texans about his bribery and abuse of office allegations"
That's the headline from a big story out yesterday revealing how Ken Paxton has been lying to TX voters.
The whistleblowers, whom Paxton himself had hired, released a statement saying:
“Paxton has made numerous false and misleading public statements that we feel obligated to correct... Themost basic qualifications of an Attorney General are respect for truth and respect for the law. Ken Paxton has neither...The day will come when Ken Paxton must testify under oath about his and his agency’s actions. Until then, we call on Ken Paxton to start telling the truth to the people of Texas.”
The article sets the record straight and lays out all the facts:
Paxton has been lying to voters.
Paxton's dealings with one of his big-donors, Nate Paul, were corrupt pay-for-play political favors.
The same campaign donor, Nate Paul, admitted in sworn testimony to hiring a woman at Paxton’s request, a woman with whom Paxton reportedly was having an extramarital affair.
Paxton's investigation is STILL ongoing!
Folks, this is bad news -- and I can tell you, it will look A LOT WORSE in a few months time if we let Paxton become our Republican nominee.
These are very serious, credible allegations against the sitting Attorney General... we simply cannot afford to re-elect a liar and a cheater as the top attorney for the state.
Republicans CANNOT lose the Attorney General's office to the Democrats. If we do, all hope for securing our border goes out the window, and Texas will turn blue.
For Texas,
Louie Gohmert
Conservative Candidate for Texas Attorney General
