We’re almost 2 full months into 2022 and time has truly been flying – and for me, it always does when it’s an election year!

Just over a week ago, we celebrated Valentine’s Day. And with love being at the center of all I do, I certainly appreciate the opportunity to celebrate a holiday focused on love.

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, I asked people across NY-19 to write cards to be delivered to our local veterans – and let me tell you, friend, our team never fails to amaze me when it comes to showing up for the community. We received over 700 hand made cards!

It was an honor and privilege to deliver these cards to true American heroes.

The times are undoubtedly very challenging, and it can be really hard to see the bright side of things. But spending time with our veterans on Valentine’s Day only deepened my belief in the power of love and all that is possible through love.

In a time of partisan ploys and heightened divisiveness, we need to remember what really matters. Our country. Our communities. Our children. Our seniors. Our families.

So today, I hope you’ll recommit to love and compassion alongside me and all of Team Delgado so we can make it across the finish line this November and keep fighting the good fight hand in hand.
