Our democracy is sacred, and it's our responsibility to protect it. But the past years have shown us that our democracy is not guaranteed. That's why I'm fighting to preserve it every day in Congress.

Former President Trump tried to undermine our democracy at every turn, and far too many of his colleagues looked the other way even when Trump's actions threatened our democracy. Now, voting rights are under attack like never before, and our elections are still flooded with cash from dark money groups.

Our democracy will always be worth fighting for, and we need to take steps to ensure its preservation for generations to come. Will you add your name to tell Congress we need democracy reform now?

It's simple: there's been too much money, too many special interests, and too little accountability in Washington, D.C. That’s why I voted to pass the For the People Act, to end the influence of big money in our elections.

We need to restore the checks and balances to our government and put some teeth behind the rules intended to prevent corruption. That's why I was proud to vote to pass the Protecting Our Democracy Act in the House.

And we need to make sure that the voices – and the votes – of the American people are not stifled in our democracy. That’s why I voted for the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act.

No matter who the president is, we need to restore the guardrails of our democracy, preserve voting rights, and get big money out of politics to protect our democracy.
