In less than a week, the next IPCC report from scientists at the United Nations will be released. Leaked reports confirm some of our worst fears:

1. Climate impacts are increasingly frequent and devastating;
2. Frontline communities, who have contributed the least to the climate crisis, are experiencing the worst impacts;
3. We have a decreasing window of time to prevent the worst of all possible futures.

But the last thing we can do right now is give up hope on turning things around for our climate — that's exactly what the fossil fuel industry wants us to do.

That's why we are organizing mobilizations all over the globe on February 27 and February 28 to highlight stories of climate resistance, but time is running out to send resources to organizers. So I need to ask you:

Can you make a modest contribution today so we can afford to send sound systems, materials, and supplies to climate activists ahead of our global mobilizations? Even a small donation will take us a long way toward meeting our goals.

We're going to try something new with these mobilizations. Let me paint you a picture.

From Vancouver Island, Canada to Berlin, Germany, our climate movement is mobilizing to target regional politicians: Using creative visuals, theatrics, and art, we will show world leaders the kinds of programs we need to transition off fossil fuels in a way that leaves no one behind.

The climate crisis is changing our world in terrifying ways, and the people living through the worst impacts are also on the frontlines of social and economic injustice.

We are facing the single greatest threat to life as we know it. But now is not the time for fear — now is the time for hope. Those same people on the frontlines of the climate crisis are leading the way toward true, community-based solutions all over the world, and together, we'll fight to cut off the money flowing to fossil fuels so we can build the safe, just future we all deserve.

So yes, the IPCC report will confirm the climate crisis is worsening.

Yes, the fossil fuel industry is the culprit and they continue to make record-breaking profits year after year.

Yes, politicians are making empty promises and perpetuating this crisis for future generations to come.

Yes, time is running out to turn things around for our climate.

And yes, we are the solution we've been waiting for to solve this crisis. Together, we can fight back. Together, we can win.
