[1]Tammy Duckworth

Now that we are over halfway through our first Federal Election Commission Quarter of the year, my team and I are gearing up for our November re-election campaign.

It’s so important that we win here in Illinois to help ensure we keep Democratic control of the Senate — and if we are going to win here, I need to know that you have my back.

So I’m reaching out today to ask you to add your name and personally endorse my re-election campaign for the United States Senate in Illinois.

But first, let me tell you a little bit about why I ran for Senate in the first place.

When I was a kid, the company my dad worked for was sold. He lost his job and my family was eventually forced onto public assistance. My brother and I relied on reduced-price meals at our public school and we used food stamps — until they ran out towards the end of the month — to put dinner on the table. It was tough, and we probably wouldn’t have made it through without government support.

Those experiences shaped the person I am today, and motivated me to speak up on behalf of families like my own who need a little help to get by. And also to speak out against Republicans who want to slash critical safety net programs that families depend on.

Now, as a U.S. Senator, I can do more to ensure we’re making good decisions in Washington that make life easier for working families.

I will continue to be an advocate for our working families in Washington — but in order to do that, I need your help to win my re-election campaign. So please:

Add your name as an official endorser of my campaign for United States Senate.

Thank you for your support,

Tammy Duckworth
