Last week, a bill was introduced that would allow private California citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, imports, or sells an assault rifle or ghost gun in California – using the same scheme Texas used to deny millions of Texas women the right to abortion.

I can’t wait to put my signature on it.

If Texas can use this scheme to ban a woman’s right to choose and put her health at risk, we can use that same scheme to save lives and protect Californians from gun violence.

We have a bill. Now let’s get it passed:

If you’re with us, we’re going to pass this bill. And there is absolutely no principled way the Supreme Court can’t uphold it when it becomes law. It is quite literally modeled after the Texas abortion law they just upheld in Texas.
