Collaboration between community-based organizations (CBOs) and immunization managers at state and local health departments has been critical to COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Immunization managers have been essential to allocating resources and ensuring communities are equipped to combat preventable diseases. As key trust-holders, CBOs are often the translators and messengers of complex, life-saving health information that keeps communities protected and safe from the ever-evolving pandemic. Continued partnerships between these two groups is crucial to shaping a more efficient, effective and equitable community response - for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
During this 60 minute webinar, experts will:
-
Review of the role of immunization managers in COVID-19 vaccine implementation over the last year;
-
Reinforce the value and impact of CBO partnerships with state and local health departments in COVID-19 response;
-
Spotlight successes and lessons learned from partnerships between CBOs and health departments in Wisconsin and Oregon; and
-
Offer ideas for the future state of the relationship between immunization managers and CBOs.
