Hello John,

There are some very exciting events coming up with our Shift the Bay Initiative!

What Is Shift the Bay? NPH leads the Shift the Bay Initiative, a collaborative effort designed to deliver research-driven, field-practiced strategies, tactics, and messages that will help our movement drive new and winning narratives around affordable housing.

If you’re ready to get help, tips, and tricks for your messaging and media tactics, you won’t want to miss these:

  • February 23: Observational spots are open for this session. Come watch your peers workshop their communications work with Dr. T.

  • April 6: Both observational and workshop spots are open for this session! Sign up for a workshop spot to work one-on-one with Dr. T, or opt to learn through observation.

  • Lifting Up Impacted Tenant Voices in the News, March 9, 12-1PM Tenant voices in the press are powerful, but it can be tough to connect with people who are comfortable speaking out publicly about their housing situation. This training will provide advice and examples from both M+R and local housing advocates about how to reach and bring in tenant voices and prepare them to interview with reporters or publish opinion pieces.

  • Shift the Narrative Playbook Deep Dive, 3/23, 12-2PM In order to unify our calls for housing and racial justice, we need a core and comprehensive message guide – and we have one! Join us as we dive deep into the nine essential messaging strategies of the Seize the Narrative Playbook, the Shift the Bay’s research-driven narrative guidance playbook that contains examples, copy-paste language, and the “why” behind the messages.

See you soon at one or all of these events!

Onward,
