John -- Early voting wraps this Friday in Texas, and we’re down to ONE WEEK before Election Day.
I’m writing today with a couple of important updates.
First, I have to be candid with you: Early voting turnout has been lower than hoped across the board.
Many Texans planned to vote by mail, but new requirements imposed by the GOP’s voter suppression bill from last year led to thousands of mail-in ballot requests getting tossed. Some counties disqualified as many as HALF of all ballot requests!
With early voting low, and mail-in voting thrown into absolute chaos, it all comes down to Election Day – just one week from now.
Both Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) and Jessica Mason (TX-30) are in tough races, and each could be decided by just a handful of votes.
We’ve got to pull out all the stops between now and Tuesday. Can you pitch in now to help us turnout for Texas?
