Jason’s message was simple- he is taking on the tough fights that our opponent Senator Tina Smith is either ignoring or adamantly opposed to--like fighting for mining and mineral rights on the Iron Range, backing the timber industry and Enbridge Line 3 project, fighting for our 2nd Amendment Rights, working to secure the border and fighting to protect innocent life.
But don’t take my word for it. Jason followed that up with a “Miners’ Meet’n’Greet” in Virginia on Monday evening, where we met with many folks who are getting involved in the political process for the very first time, many of them former Democrats who feel left behind by Tina Smith and the radical Democrats.
On Tuesday, Congressman Pete Stauber joined Jason for a tour of the United Taconite iron ore facilities in Forbes and Virginia. It was an honor to see firsthand how Minnesota iron ore is extracted and produced and to meet the men and women who make it happen. After that, Jason met with some key members of the Minnesota logging and timber industry on a job site in Cotton. For generations, timber and logging has been the lifeblood of the local economy in the North Woods. Sadly, the industry has been going through tough times in recent years and is in need of new markets. One of those is something called forest biomass—which utilizes forest feedstock for renewable energy production and in the process reduces the dangers of wildfires. As you can see, a lot of exciting things happening with the Lewis campaign with more fun & exciting things upcoming!
In fact, mark your calendars for December 19th for the first ever “Don’t Make it a ‘Blue Christmas’” Holiday Party featuring none other than the King of Rock ‘n Roll himself!
