Did you see the op-ed that I wrote for The Philadelphia Inquirer yesterday? In it, I argue how psychiatric beds can help to prevent suicide, allowing people in a mental health crisis to safely stabilize. Even as suicide rates are rising in Pennsylvania, bed availability continues to plummet.
