BIG News: Today, I officially announced my campaign for re-election!

This is a proud and humbling day for me as I ask my fellow Rhode Islanders to support my candidacy for a full term as Governor.

I’m a lifelong Rhode Islander, born and raised in Cumberland. That’s where I met my wife Susan, where we’ve raised our family, and where we still live today.

I’ve spent my career fighting for Rhode Island’s working people and families – as a small business owner, Mayor of Cumberland, Lieutenant Governor, and now as Governor.

I’m running for a full term because Rhode Island needs strong, steady leadership to guide our state out of this pandemic and toward a better future. Before we can start building on the progress of this past year, I need to ask for your support to help me build a strong campaign:

When I took office last March, COVID-19 presented the most challenging public health and economic crisis in a generation and our vaccination programs were still in early stages. Today, we are leading the nation in vaccination rates and economic recovery.

I’m proud of the momentum we've built together this year – We are laying the foundation to make Rhode Island a better place to live, work, and raise a family… but there’s still a lot of work to be done. Now that I’ve officially launched my campaign for a full term, can you chip in $25, $50, $100 (or whatever you’re able) to power my team to victory?

I’m running to create jobs, raise wages, and support small businesses. I’m running to make sure Rhode Island’s economy keeps bouncing back. 

I’m running to give the next generation of Rhode Islanders a better future, and to make sure our state is a place that our kids and grandkids will be proud to build their lives, careers, and families of their own.

Over the next few months, our campaign will need to deliver our message to voters across all of our 39 cities and towns. The more resources we raise during these critical early days of the campaign, the more voters we’ll be able to reach before Election Day. Even $10 will make a big difference!

With support from folks like you, I know we can win this campaign and keep Rhode Island on the path to progress.
