Hi, John. It’s Haley – Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan’s deputy finance director.
Each month, we set a fundraising goal based on the resources we need to win in November. We have an extremely tough race ahead of us, so our goals are ambitious.
We need to raise $50,000 online this month, and over the past week, donations have been significantly slowing down. There are only 28 days in February, so I’m worried we won’t have enough time to make up the difference.
That’s why I’m reaching out to everyone who hasn’t pitched in yet this month with a challenge: If we can raise $5,000 by midnight, we’ll be back on track towards hitting our February goal. Will you help us out?
John, make a contribution of $5 or whatever works for you by 11:59 pm to show Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan that you have their back.
According to recent polling, several of our GOP opponents are already running in a statistical dead heat with Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan. We’ve been working overtime to ramp up every aspect of our campaign ahead of schedule to hold the line, but it has already put a tremendous strain on our budget.
If we come up short on the 28th, we’ll have no choice but to scale back the budget we were counting on to execute our media plans, hire organizers, recruit volunteers, and so much more.
We can’t hit our target this month without you, John. Pitch in by midnight to help us keep Minnesota blue.
Thank you,
Haley Cobb
