Good evening -

I wanted to make sure you saw a recent article in the Akron News-Reporter ([link removed]) highlighting the Republican commitment to rural Colorado. For too long, Colorado Democrats have demonized ranchers, farmers, or anyone who lives in rural Colorado. As Colorado GOP Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown has stated, "The only way I see to end the war on rural Colorado is to elect Republicans."

Akron News-Reporter | Burton Brown: Republicans will stand for agriculture ([link removed])
Colorado Republican Party Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown told attendees at Friday’s Washington County Lincoln Dinner the party had assembled high quality candidates for state and federal level offices that will create tough choices but also extremely strong challenges for Democrats.

Akron News- Reporter: ([link removed]) Farmers and ranchers can depend on the continued support of Republicans to ease everyday difficulties facing rural Coloradans in agriculture, Colorado Republican Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown said Friday.

She’s concerned with an attack she sees on agriculture producers.

“It is clear Gov. Jared Polis doesn’t want to rollback his war on rural Colorado,” she said, pointing to his preferred candidates for the Animal Protection Board. “All three of them were against cattlemen and ranchers. It proves he could care less about rural Colorado.”

Burton Brown was embarking Friday on a four-day tour of such areas, starting in Washington County and visiting Baca, Cheyenne, Crowley, Kiowa, Morgan and Prowers counties.
“The only way I see to end the war on rural Colorado is to elect Republicans,” Burton Brown said. “In my travels through the state, Coloradans are saying they want to restore balance back to the state.”

Burton Brown has found optimism from conservatives as she has traveled to discuss caucus and the upcoming primary election. Republicans will gather April 9 at World Arena in Colorado Springs to nominate candidates for state and federal offices to appear on the primary ballot. Primary Election Day is June 28.

“If we stay focused on flipping offices, we can bring balance back to Colorado,” Burton Brown said.

She indicates independents will join Republicans in the primary issues they have promoted in their Commitment to Colorado, a 10-item platform introduced last summer.

“Crime has risen every year Polis has been in office. Colorado ranks No. 1 in the nation in auto theft,” she said. “We have inflation and lack of affordable living in Colorado. Everywhere we travel there is a lack of affordable housing. With the party that is in charge, these problems have just continued to worsen.
