Hi John, it’s Brooke from Team 350!
I wanted to make sure you knew about our upcoming event THIS Thursday, February 24:
During the call, you’ll hear from speakers including myself and Francisco Perez from the Center for Popular Economics.
With rising inflation and a climate crisis, the Federal Reserve has an unprecedented opportunity to rein in banks who fund and fuel climate chaos. But in order to get the Federal Reserve to hold big banks accountable, we need you to be a part of the movement.
But John, I checked the list of attendees, and we’re still missing your RSVP!
I hope I’ll see you there on Thursday, 2/24!

John -
If all goes according to plan, a slate of climate nominees to the Federal Reserve will be confirmed by the Senate in early March.
You may be wondering, what happens after that? Great question, John.
Securing as many climate champions to key positions in the Federal Reserve was just step one. With new leadership at the Fed, we’ll have an unprecedented opportunity to reign in banks that are funding and fueling the climate crisis – but only if we demand it.
We’re going to need the full weight of our movement organized and ready to push the Federal Reserve to take action. If you’re ready to learn more and dive into the next phase of this campaign, will you join our #FossilFreeFed strategy call this Thursday, February 24 at 4pm PT/7pm ET?
If you’re still confused as to what the Federal Reserve is, what it does, and how it impacts the climate, don’t worry. We’ll go over all of that on the call and more.
Essentially, the Federal Reserve is the United States’ Central Bank and it plays a key role in regulating our economy. One of the Fed’s main roles is to mitigate economic risks, and for too long they’ve ignored the risk of climate collapse, which is already having an extreme impact on our economy.
This call is being hosted together with the Stop the Money Pipeline Coalition and so far, our speakers include Francisco Perez from the Center for Popular Economics and 350’s own Brooke Harper.
Hope to see you there,
- Team 350
